Green Energy

October 20, 2021

Aavalor Green Energy is a superb sustainability organization led by the inspiring, Aryan Aviraj. Aryan is a social entrepreneur living in the capital city of India’s Jharkhand state, Ranchi. Aryan is an inspiring individual who I, Ian Shepardson, had the pleasure of meeting earlier this month. Through his company, Aryan is on a mission to make Earth free of CO2 emissions by the year 2050.

What is Aavalor Energy?

Aavalor Green Energy is a social impact, sustainability organization. Aavalor Green Energy uses nanotechnology to address two of the World’s biggest resource concerns: clean water and renewable energy. Imagine a World where everyone has access to clean water and renewable energy! That is Aryan’s mission.

What is Nanotechnology?

According to the National Nanotechnology Initiative, “Nanotechnology is science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale, which is about 1 to 100 nanometers.” In layman’s terms, it is “the study and application of extremely small things and can be used across all the other science fields, such as chemistry, biology, physics, materials science, and engineering.”

Nanotechnology and Clean Water

Aavalor Green Energy uses nanotechnology to create a water filter that is reusable, low cost and efficient. A nanotechnology water filter filters water at the molecular level. In developing a nanotech water filter, Aavalor Green Energy provides access to clean water, to everyone. Since the technology works at the molecular level, it is able to purify water more effectively. Water that was previously deemed un-reusable for consumption, will now be clean enough to drink when using Aavalor’s filter. Places where clean water is hard or impossible to come by, are now able to use this filter to create their own. Therefore, this nanotech water filter helps us to save on our global water consumption. As Aavalor’s website suggests, “millions of liters of water will be saved by our nanotech water filter”.

Currently, Aavalor has a working prototype for the nanotech water filter. They aim to have a finalized product on the market in the near future.

Nanotechnology and Clean Energy

Hydrogen energy is often thought to be a strong, green alternative to the fossil fuels that we use for energy production today, as hydrogen is renewable and plentiful. Nanotechnology is used in hydrogen fuel cells to create light weight, highly effective membranes. These membranes allow for hydrogen to pass through, while containing all other materials (UnderstandingNano). In using these membranes, Aavalor’s nanotechnology will enable fuel cells to harvest green hydrogen energy from waste water. Reusing waste water to create green energy? Sign me up! According to AZO Nano, “The application of nanotechnology in green hydrogen production has increased the possibility of substituting fossil fuels with this sustainable form of energy.”

Aryan is currently developing a prototype for this potentially life-changing nanotechnology.

Aryan and Aavalor Energy as a Whole

Aryan’s mission is simple: to create a more sustainable ecosystem for all to enjoy. Aavalor Green Energy is Aryan’s baby. Through Aavalor, Aryan will produce a nanotech water filter and a nanotech, green hydrogen production process. Once achieved, these products will improve the World’s access to and supply of clean, drinkable water. They will also redefine our energy production process and work to achieve a global net-zero carbon emissions.

Thank you Aryan, for being an amazing connection and an upstanding human being. I am excited to see where your social impact work takes you, and am honored to be a part of your journey. I look forward to further developing our friendship and professional relationship. Cheers!
